Tyre Frenzy~ ^.^ i think i'm mad...

Jian from Yita Auto Service Centre called me up yesterday, told me that my tyre had arrive ^.^ hurray~ So i went to his shop is Kulim immediately with my Works  Ewing 15" rim.
Jian's very professional shop in Kulim, you would be stunted by the amount of rare second-hand rims he can get his hand on.
Jian(left) and I inspecting the works of his worker, dun wan to scratch my 2K+ worth piece of art :P
The tyre we were talking about, legendary AD07 (price drop a bit due to new range of AD08 out in the market)
All 4 pieces lying nicely behind ranger ready to bring home.
Compared to my 185 RS-2, 195 sure had much larger contact surface.

Testing to fit all 4 new tyres into mango... however only the front succeed, while the rear tyre was pressing directly onto the fender... think i would really need a fender re-work after 29th's Time Attack.

Mango with his new look ^.^
Second trip today to PohNee Tyre to take out the old RS-2 which will be sold to my cousin and put in the 195/60R14 Yokohama A-048 which i purchase from Japan.
Semi-Slick for mango's rear.
Look nice in my Watanabe RS (6" really is a bit small, wanna get my hand on 7" or 8" RS ^^)
The best part of tyre changing hoho~ balancing.

In search for better traction~

While others was happily driving around in Kg Gajah Track, i wasn't really feel right about mango's rear wheel... my 185/60R14 Hancook RS/2 keep on sliding all over the place as soon as i step a bit deeper onto the throttler.

So i ask around for advices, and the answer is almost the same, i need better traction on the rear a.k.a. wider and stickier tyre~
This is what come over my mind at first~
Yokohama Advan Neova AD-07
Then i remember my friend Yus told me he had some of this~
Yokohama A-048

So i call him up and hook-up the deal ^.^ and i get a good price for 4 piece of 195/60R14 hoho~ perfect for my Watanabe RS rims~

But i keep on searching and finally i landed on one of this~ which make me drew.......

The all new A-050 newest in the semi-slick tyre line from Yokohama as well as  the new AD-08

And if anyone interested in the new AD08's can check it out on the official website~ Yokohama Tyres

Preparing for Kg Track part 1 ^^

Actually, i had went to Chean Exhaust to fix my exhaust due to my "original" exhaust was too restrictive, too small, too much bend, and yet too noisy :P ~ (sorry folks, i dun really like noise)
So out the old 1.6" and in the 2.3" ^.^ let's the operation begin~ finally, the EK9 centre bullet and the HKS muffler i buy over from McGuyver had finally found it's used.
Taking out the old exhaust. it's dunno what mid bullet and 5Zigen-copy muffler, which is extreme noisy in high rev. and yet, it's diameter was just too small the car feels heavy during 6~8K rpm.
5 minutes into the work, with 3 ppl working on mango, come an extra "hand", but this one is not a helping hand :P he just point and use his voice and help. (Mr. 12)

chean is even-ing the edge of the bullet using only a oxygen torch, yikes~ darn he is good.

After 3 hours of cutting welding, arguing and so so~ it's finally done ^^, see how straight the flow is. perfectly matching the car's under carriage. (if you wan the exhaust to go under the axle, you gotta had a very short stroke absorber- in my case, 4 inches, 2 inch bounce, 2 inch re-bounce)

And guess what, the tire can't grip on the road anymore (in high rev) so the first thing i went back to factory, is install the 4 watanabe RS with RS2 on to mango. ^^ he really look handsome in those new shoes.

So the thing is, when we playing with our rides. one upgrade would lead to another upgrade. in my case, after installing the new tyre, the rear absorbers+spring wasn't good enough for the current setting. Good thing i was an in this field.

Taking out the absorber and upgrade the duty to around +30% for the bounce and 60% for the rebouce (for a much stiffer spring is used) and i found a pair of un-used E36's rear spring lying around. a few tweek and it's in mango's back already. (sorry, no photos, my secret :P shhhh)

And what i get is a happier tail and steadier front. ^.^ a happy mango he is.

My Banana Rim is home~ with RS-2 on it ^^

finally, after 2 weeks i finally got time to go down to pick my rims with tyre up.

I got my banana rim from this shop in Kulim, Kedah. He did offer me a reasonable price for both the rims and tyres. Thanks Jian.

all four of them lying nicely behind my Ranger.

Just love the banana like spoke of the rim, i know it sure will look good on my mango ^^ he will look even handsome.

This is what we were talking, HanKook Venture RS-2, performance tyre, those RS would possibly enable me go a few sec faster in Kg Gajah.

All stack up nice and clean in my factory, waiting for mango's arrive to put them on...
T_T darn i miss you mango~
