My first Gymkhana event~ Pop Cones~

Finally, my first participation in a gymkhana - autocross event. Which was held in Han Jiang collage in Penang, Malaysia. I was there invited by a friend calling ups FR cars for which he said there were not many. So i answered his call and went~ 

But when i arrived, there were plenty of FR car's. A few nissan A31, RX7 FC, FD's, and not to mention, a lot of KE's~  and i found a parking place right beside my friend's car, from left to right, Reuben's means KE-Levin, Hafitz's KE-Levin, Arthur's TE-Levin, and my 20V mango~It's a 4AGE showdown~ 

 And here's the course. A small parking lot beside Han Jiang stadium/hall.

 And this is the cone we suppose to pop???

At 10AM, all drivers was call-up for a briefing~ 

And this was the layout we were suppose to follow~ A simple plan for new-bies like me~ (^_−)−☆

And we start out morning walk~ lol, to familiar ourself with the course. I took 3 walk and a run, literally~ And soon after that, it's FUN time~!

All and all, mango's engine didn't suite the course too much. Every time i come close to the power band, i had to let go throttler already. And the 80% lock LSD isn't helping much either~ it keep pushing mango's front end out when ever i step on the gas when exiting corners.

Now i finally realize that i had to start taking notes on what setting i should have for each event. Lot's of homework to do and lot's more to learn~

"Drift Playground" Report~

I arrive at the scene as told by Arthur by 6PM and what come into my eyes was a set-up-ed parking lot with all the fencing on     =_=||| ⋯⋯

 And they had already begun playing from 3PM ~ by the time i reached there, Arthur had already finish 6 pieces of tyres. Changing into his 7th and 8th~ deng.

 First action i saw at the playground~ An unknown engine KE70 VS SR20 TE72

 he manage to play the whole hours on those two tyre only~ sweet~

 And i spend 1.5 hours driving from Simpang-empat to Jawi via highway~ Had to take a stop at jawi R&R for the racing clutch is killing my legs.

A view where the traffic was "crawling" slowly like.... 3.5KM/H on my GPS =_="  

After a small test on the playground, only to find out that mango wasn't set-up to play in a place so small. The gear ration wasn't responding well on the small space. Where everyone was drifting on 2nd 4000~6000 rpm. Mango can only pull around 3500~5000 at the same corners, same speed. Well under mango's power band.

Now i've had a wild idea to build a 4age-20v KE70 if my friend can spare me his car~ hahaha. Stay tune.

Went McGuyver's place yesterday~ Good to see his TE72 on it's foot again~ but he tell me he had some miss-haps a night before~ XD~ fuel wasn't coming in well while he was doing some 'illegal' donuts @ Batu Kawan area~ lol~ Might be a faulty AC-pump. that's why it's parking @ the roadside. hahahha~

 But he did some polishing to the car~ and darn, look how straight the body line is, sure mango will be really envy on that~ But darn, my old 13" Enkei looks good on his TE~ anyway, mango wasn't able to wear those anymore since the brake upgrades~ 

 Just took some shot at an alley where i buy my lunch today~ the sky was a bit moody but the light was perfect on mango's matt body~ how i wish i can drive mango under the moody soft light in New zealand or scotland~ mango's matt black would be astoundingly beautiful~ ^^

 And another shot from the side~ i'm getting pretty stuck with the ONI these days. Make mango looks 10  years younger~ lol~

Btw, mango's axle is start making fairly lots of noise. I think it's time to get the final drive's crown gear checked. Will do it after i came back from KL next week~ till then~

Something is brewing under our nose~ hmmmmm~

Went spot-check friend's workshop at Jalan P.Ramlee last week when he went on for honeymoon in Hattyai~ XD~ and guess what i found~ hahahahaha~

Guess there's someone secretly brewing something monstrosity under our noses without us knowing anything hohoho~ Let's keep our mouth shut until he unveil the monster heart in his TE72 later~ lol~

A day in Sg Petani. And lost~ ^^|||

Today was a non-busy day, so i decided to pick McGuyver and Yus up to go pick up Yus's TE72 from the body workshop. And off we go on 11a.m. sharp. 5 minutes later, we were stuck in a 'rare' traffic jam from auto-city heading to penang bridge. 50 minutes was wasted there *_*......

After we reach the place like 1 and 1/2 hours later, just to learn that the boss wasn't in. Heck~ we hit another wall... a detour to Sg Petani is on, since we was just 10 minutes away.

And soon enough we find ourself lost in the fast development of Sg Petani township. Plus my TiBo was showing me blank screen for all the roads was only been build in this year or two ^^|||... darn...

After a lot of phone call and a lot of U-turn, we reach one of the destination. A chop shop we were looking for this whole day. The first thing come into our eyes was this beautiful AE101 Wagon.  

It was really well kept and wash~ love the white color.
As usual, we all start our routine, hunting for stuff~ ^.^ and i'm not let down.
I saw a super charged 4age 16V
which shock us when we look at the other side *_* darn~ it's a SuperTurbo 4age. 

there's lot of stuff there, but all were very 'well priced' so we left empty handed. 

yet another monster 4AGE

after much searching, this is what i had come up with, a 308 racing cam 4Age with 20cm long 4-throttler. which i think will resemble TK's up coming monster KE70 GL's engine :P with 4 less valve~ ^.^ hohoho~

AE86~ ^.^ always a legend.

I bet lot's of ppl never knew one 20++ years old car could get so popular when it's launch during the era. for years, AE86 had been know as one of the worst handling car. but still, it's name was being "clean" by our Jap DK, 土屋圭市(keichi tsuchiya). just the time i go get my banana rim from a friend who own a tire shop in kulim, kedah, i saw his AE86 parking behind his shop, so i quickly take a few snap of it.


he completely copy the look of takumi's 滕原とうふ店 AE86 ^.^


the car is still in it's very original stage, but i do like his rear "duck tail"


even the engine is still stock~! darn.

every toyota petrol-head's dream machine~ ^^

The formula Atlanta 4AGE-16V engine~ head that this babe could produce 230BHP at 10000rpm.
and another one is the legendary TRD 4AGE-20V build for Formula A super-touring car race during 90's which produce a gross 265BHP on crank at 11,000 rpm (i think that's the engine takumi used in his AE86 in Initial D ^.^)
