Engine Taken out (again) ~

Finally manage to secure a place where i can leave mango on tripod for at least a month's time for me to slowly do all the tweaking and overhaul his heart. As I had a sure feeling that one or more of it's cylinder is loosing compression.
As expected from our McGuyver, my 4age-20v is taken out from mango within 1 hour and taken apart in 2~ XD~ buggy fast he work.
And to our~ (mcguyver said it's his first time saw this kind of condition after so many 20v he had taken apart) HORROR~! cylinder one and four have this 'crack' kinda mark on it's cylinder and both piston ring were about 0.2mm smaller. Not sure it's a lot but it definitely effected mango's hours power.

So with the twist of event.... an engine block change is in evadable~ Good thing i had two more black-top block in spares~

old school valve n piston

this is something we don't see everyday. i just repair one really rare type of absorber recently.
Original AE86's strut. really rare indeed.
It used really 'ancient' design -  simple, but would last, for a long long time.
the valve system. really give you the tough feels. it was really build to last.

Cleaning up the Twin-Port ~

While testing the twin-port's working condition using air-pressure, i discovered that one of the caliper isn't working properly, or can say, isn't working at all. So we had to force the piston out by attaching the caliper onto mango's master pump and use the brake fluid's force to push the piston out.
And what came into our eyes was super dirty+rusty fluid and piston. this two really need a lot of cleaning to make them work fine.
A comparation of the piston, left-clean and polished, right, un-touch.
all the piston after went through my polish machine.
look at it shine, this port won't giving me trouble for some time to come ^.^ just need some rubber grease and it's good to go.
After setting the caliper into the nitric phosphorus solution (rust cleaner) and waiting for the rubber seal and cover to soften themselves in the paraffin solution, i get my hand on painting the caliper with metallic  paint. Try to use those which is use for car's body paint, which cost around RM12~16/250ml. This type would last longer under tremendous heat condition.
