Absorber's for my engine in the making~

After some tweaking to the ECU and some secret electric controller(will told you later) mango's engine mounting cannot withstand the twisting force of the engine anymore and finally give way...  and the engine is rattling like hell whenever i try to launch my car from standstill, and whenever i try to spin my rear wheels in a corner.

And after much considerations for engine stability stuff~ i almost forgot what my expertise is. LoL~ Absorbers! So i can just make one and counter out the twisting force of the torque from the engine.

200lb+ of bounce and re-bounce force to hold my engine in place instead on try to tear itself off the engine mounting~ lol~ it's my first try though. Hope it would work out well~ (finger crossed)
hm~ think i should put it a little higher.

btw~ it's 3 weeks countdown to KGC track day~ and still got more to prepare~ GOGOGO~ aiming for 52sec flat track timing this trip. To broke my old 53.2 sec. One steps further~ (^.^)

cheerio~ happy prepping everyone.

Fun time in Kg. Gajah 29-12-2008

It's suppose to be a time-attack challenge in Kg Gajah, but the weather is not on our side... and we were looking at a WET track when we reach Kg Gajah  at 9.15a.m. after Mango's alternator failed during we take a rest at Bukit Gantang R&R while waiting for Suhaimi and his friends. T~T bad news.... mango might not be able to play in Kg Gajah today...
(everyone was busy looking for the problem for the battery wasn't charging, so no one remember to take picture as we were running late)
So after calling TK and conform a replacement is available, we decided to keep going with the remaining juice available in mango's BIG-ASS battery. And recharge it with Ranger as soon as it runs out.
But half way from Terong to Bruas, Panda spotted that then Charge indicator which was on since we left Bukit Gantang R&R turn off~ alternator is working fine again ^.^

After looking at the WET track, and a few attempt by some FF driver, we decided that we will shift to FR ^.^ and fun begins~ it's DRIFT time~! And i had many fun laps trying to drift mango around with AD07 at front and Ducaro at the rear. It's super slippery with higher off-set rims at front then rear. ####^.^ anyone got picture of mango drifting in track? Really appreciate if someone can send it to me thanks~

Somewhere after noon, while i trying to get a nap in Ranger and Ah Wei(12) knock on the window, and told me to get back up heading Kg Bota, Lao San was caught in a mishap.
We were relief that both LaoSan and two other passengers was safe without a scratch.  We took around an hour to pull the car out using Ranger's winch.

After that we headed back to Kg Gajah. And we found out that the track was drying up. So i switch to A048 at the back. And get ready to make some fast laps in the track.
Now we were talking some series time~  Soon everyone start to put on their 888 and 048 and start making faster and faster laps. I was happy that mango did a big improvement since his original heart times 1.03+ on March and i manage to squeeze out 54.80 yesterday. A big leap~ hoho~

And soon, it's time for Ranger to get into the track again. Our All time champion Suhaimi was dashing into sheekan and ramp the tyre wall. And lot's of tyre stuck under his car. (7 to be exec ^.^)
Good thing i bring two of my big jack and bring his car out of the tyre trap safely~  And after that, we leave the track with whole bunch of happy people on the Ranger.
Thanks Jeremy for the photo ^.^ ~
Thanks dude for the beautiful picture of mango ^_^

And i wanna pay my respect the only handicap driver of the day. Ah Tuck with his special mod-ed Kenari. He did fairly well, times at 59 second on the track that day.

Kg. Gajah open track day - 18 May 08

4.30AM - get up after lying on the bed for two hours or so. (i fix mango's radiator until 2AM) prepare and heading to my factory to pick up mango. he was left there to cool down and wait for radiator cap from McGuyver. We install the new plug and start heading for Bukik Merah Gunung Semenggol R&R to meet up with chean's group, wei 12, Lao 3, and other fellers from Penang.

After a short briefing on our convoy and dividing into two group, one high-speed convoy and one casual convoy. Which i will be leading the casual convoy.

It's a very fine day to drive on the old trunk road. too bad i was too busy talking into 3 talkie thus my hand wasn't free to take photos.

We took a short break at the petrol station somewhere near Titi Gantung. Man, it's hard to keep all 30 cars together as there's too much "alien" traffic keep budging in.

mango and his loyal follower Ranger ^_^

6.45 am departure, 8.30 am arrival (should be able to arrive earlier due to some slow drivers.) And soon, we were all brief on the safety regulation on the track and then announce the group each driver was assigned (i was in group 1, together with some awesome driver - Daniel, Raj, Patrick soso stresss :S) and Gentleman ! START YOUR ENGINE!
warming up mango's new heart for his first try in Kg gajah track ^.^ all the thing in mango's heart was singing happily. eager to try out it's new found power. But unluckily once i get into the track, only to found out the track was full of sand and debris. and mango's brake still didn't work properly. so i went off the track.
which a few moment later, during the drift session, TK ran out the track and hit the tyre wall and stuck. time for Ranger to get into action ^.^
Ranger done the job without any difficulty. hehe~ *peanut la~
and one thing i keep objecting to TK, this guy tie the poor CJ7 on his car's back. which i doubt might fall off during running in the track and cause some mayhems...

After few groups running on the track, plus Uncle Choi, who had installed mango's new heart arrive around 10am, ask his guy to adjust my brake so it will respond better. So i took mango in for a few laps, together with my brother. And now mango is able to put his feet down and slam the tarmac. with 30~40% of braking power in hand, i had to take early breaking point and keep safe distance from other driver (sorry guys, who ever was behind me.)

*video coming soon when i received it from my brother.

Four generation of toyotas gather together - McGuyver's AE101, Bro's AE92, Panda's AE82 and my TE72.(We call ourself Team AE-20V) wanna know the reason behind it?
See for yourself, 4 generation of cars share the same heart, 4AGE-20V from toyota's - the legendary high Rev engine.
*p/s Scav, isn't that your car which was been tow-ed???
And by the time we close the event, this was how the track look like after rampaging by the Drifters. yaiks~!
