A little miss-haps~ (>_<) nothing big~ :P

I was having a bit of fun last friday~ and i accidentally created this~ XD~ a LONG 11~ and the mark is still on the floor till today~ despite of the rain last night~ haha~
If you were wondering what happened that day~ It was just a small 150m sprint i was playing with my worker's 4G93 wira~ :P which he said to had added some horsie to it and had won a mivec-4g93 a week earlier~
Though i wasn't really in the wind to drag with him for he's in a high mood~ but he's been bragging it for the whole week and when my friend fuji came on friday, he went on and bugg-ed him. So i finally took up the challenge~  (had to show him some colors :P)~

As the first round went, i was leading by moderate distance - for my worker had a bad launch~ into second round we goes~

In first~ i was a car length ahead. As i almost finish revving into my second gear, and i was about to lift to used both engine breaking and brakes (for the road wasn't that long :P) my throttler stuck-ed and the engine still revving at full steam. I had to cut the engine and slam on the brake hard and guess what~? (>_<) DENG rear brakes wasn't responding as it should be! Kick the brake again as i didn't had vacuums assist... the engine was cut-ed remember?

And walla~ left brake lock-up earlier than right and the car start swaying to the right, and looking as mango closing in to the curb~ only thought in my mind was "oh no, my ONI~!!!"

and with a small 'pop' sound mango stopped as the tyre hit slightly on the curb. Good heaven it just scratch a little on the rim's edge without bigger harm done~ phew......

Now mango will be going back to Mcguver's place for a brake re-tuning to correct it's front-rear bias~

till then~ happy driving to all~ ^^ and be-careful when 'fooling' around~ hahaha~

new button for mango's e-brake~

Last month, during Kg Gajah's Time attack (which turned into drift day) TK
show me his 'non-stick' e-brake button from cusco. a replacement button which enable you to took away the spring which lock the e-brake in place, which will cause the e-brake to release automatically after pull-ed. And will only lock after we push the button out manually.
So i took some measurement from a few car and draw out the design. Then send to my customize precision shop to make a sample. This is what i get for the first sample (with 峠 engraving on it) made with 6061 top of the series aluminium aloy. This baby would resist a small hammer impact without problem.
install-ed perfectly on mango's e-brake.
closer look of the engraving. it's only sample, so it's a bit off centre.
another side look of it ^_^, dun you just love the shine of it. It will be available soon at TK's new shop in Ipoh parade and also in TKA Motorsport's factory in Penang.

Bucket Seat installation ^.^

After tune up mango and all, one thing clearly is my mango is throwing my all over the place in my seat ^.^ So it's time to pay someone a visits ^.^ a chair (bucket seat) specialist~
CSL Cushion in Juru inter junction area.
ant this is what i acquire from him, a seat adjustment bracket for my sparco
My Sparco finally awaken after long sleep ~ hoho~ it's time for him to come in service. So i taken my sparco and the bracket and i went to Chean's shop (chean exhaust) to install the bracket on to mango.
And mango had a shocking suprise for me hidden underneigh the seat.....one of the seat's mounting point was broken, totaly broke off from the body *_* ouch~!
So a new mounting point is in order, so i went back to my factory and dig out a piece of Square pipe. Bring it back to Chean's place and had his brother to fabricate thus weld back on where the old point should be... by the time all this was done, it's time for me to went back to my factory. So i leave the work to Ah Xiang and will come pick mango up tomorrow...

With the Sparco in place ^.^

Kg Gajah Track Day By Northern Touge

picture says it all ^.^ lazy to type :P

Mango is getting a new brake, definitely.

After a close call when i was 'cruising' down the flight-over in front of my dad's old shop house, (i was driving around 120, and an idiot in saga cut into my lane, out-most lane of the 3. at about 50~60km/h, so i put my feet hard on mango brake, but instantly the car went sideway, sway to the left furiously! which means my front right brake was not working! good thing the training in Kg gajah pays off plus i had a welded axle so the rear brake can do his work, with a pull of e-brake and slight throttler, i manage to pull mango back to normal line. but i only miss the bloody saga by feet~! )
so the first thing i went back to the factory is to take out mango's right brake and exam it, and first thing i saw is a black-en rotor
it's silvery shinny on the left hand side and black on the right hand side.
and a pair of worn and "fried" brake pad. it's same size as KE70, as i survey around and to found out that there aren't many ppl (or any at all) manufacturing performance pad for KE70, i call up my best friend, McGuyver and ask him to help me search for solution.

after a few days, he shown up before my factory and show me what he had in the hood, a pair of toyota AE111 levin front rotor and a pair of EVO 2 twin port caliper - with a broad grin on his face. lol~
the original ke-86 rotor is around 240mm in diameter

and 17.5mm thick
the AE111 rotor is 265mm in diameter
but with a wooping 22mm thickness ^.^ that's a good looking guy. hoho~
so without much delay, i took everything and went next door to the precision factory to start fabricating them to put into mango.

first, hook up on the lathe machine to flat-en up the surface, groove it and balance it so it will work perfectly later.

zoom in to look at the fine groove line. i dun wan a silky slick surface which result in less grip. so i ask the machine fella to grove the surface using 64lines/inches setting to make it a bit rough.
before doing the  balancing, we had to drill new holes to enable the rotor to hook onto the original hub of mango.
drilling in precision isn't easy work. it takes a lot of delicate instrument to enable a precise hole where the rotor will spin in perfect working condition. the variance acceptable here is 0.1mm.
it's how it look after balancing and assemble back on the hub and put back into the AE86 knuckle. just love the new shinny look of the rotor.

more updates after the new bracket was make and the twin-port caliper installed. ^.^ till then~
