Summer Cleaning~

After driving with the current settings for a year and so~ i start to feel that mango wasn't responding to the throttler as he used to be before the body restoration..... perhaps i had to get some 'upgrades' for mango had putting on quite some weight ^^ (now fully carpeted and an extra 60kg of steels from the body strengthening + rusted panel replacement)

So as usual, i send mango to McGuyver's hand to get it clean up and do some minor adjustment~(it was actually a week before lol~) and he just send me the pic yesterday~

We removed the original SVT head and take a look at the piston~
And to what we had been guessing...... thick layer of carbons had build up on it~
and another look at the head as well, it looks ok as my oil change was very frequent~ around every 3000~3500KM on semi 10W40 oil~
So the cleaning started, start by brushing off the carbon from the piston~
Then comes the minor 'upgrades'~ BT head with polished port~ and CLEAN up nicely with alkaline base cleaning fluid~
My HKS plug also received a nice bath~ hohoho~
And after all was cleaned~ in the new gasket, which is not that expensive for something that would last this much pressure and it's ORIGINAL from toyota~ ^^
And the clean and polish-ed BT head~ It did give me a bit more torque @ lower rpm, 2.5k~ 5k with better respond @ 4-5 gear range~

And the best part is~ It save on fuel compare to before the cleaning~ (^.^)~ yeah~!!!!!! more $$$ to pay for other parts~ lol~

mango's strip-ed down~2

After having dinner, we start putting back the essential thing for mango to move ^.^ his front leg.
McGuyVer at work~ ^.^ (actually he almost did all the work.) When mango was able to roll around again~ the fun start ^.^
Mango's naked front~ (fender was taken out to send for making fiber body part.2009 first edition Recaro sit >.< haha~
Mango's ready to swim in bali's nice ocean~ his is naked~!!!
imitating takumi's dad when showing his friend the new engine to put into 藤原とうふ店-AE86
(getting his deserved rest after pushing mango around all year long)
McGuyver showing off mango's "new" engine, which was able to produce 1PP (panda power)
Me sitting in mango's new "recaro" sit (replace by an old ammo box, the basket break under my weight) with "OMP" glove and "adidas' racing shoe.
Rest well~ soon mango will return with a fresh body and soul.

45 upgrade to 75 -> Power Factor up~!

One Week after coming from Bali, and the first thing i rush to when i re-open my factory on Monday is to my Mango ^.^ (my wife was groaning behind me :P)

Stuck in the Key and turn *.* .....

......

......

it crank but won't start~ darn, back on the ranger to take my multi-meter and give it a test... 12.7V gosh... the batteries is a gonner. Well, it did serve both my original 4K engine, 4 times Kg Gajah track day and lot's fun time in the rain ^.^ so time for a new batteries.
In Memories, the old Nippon "DRY" cell battery
So i went to the batteries shop and after much ask around, i settle with a new GP-Atlas 75amp, 140 minutes battery. cost me a big RM310 *_*
Old one only rated 45amps and 70 minutes, no wonder you can't hold longer than one week without charging you up :P
The new BIG boy is  a 75 amps 140 minutes, double the capacity of the old nippon. This should be able to provide my 20V for all the power it need during 8K+ revving ^.^ yes~!
-
And Mango crank up nicely with the new battery in and he start up like -turn, 0.3sec of cranking and he fires up :D hurray 75amps~ hohoho.

Sensors on 4AGE-20V

Just too this out from the web. i never knew that mango's engine had so much sensors *_* darn~
it's to say, any of it's faulty sensors would cause in loosing power and increase fuel consumption as well.
i might need to remove all of them and check to keep mango running in tip-top condition ;)
