Fixing the failed hydraulic E-brake.
It's been more than a month since the USM super wet Gymkhana day. Which i had to retired early due to my faulty E-brake and a leaky clutch pump.
Finally manage to take a short breath from the packed before CNY rush~ I've decided to took out the punctured E-brake fluid line to pass to my friend Melvin to upgrade them to steel braid-ed.
Using my video light as the working light~ ^_^
All I can say is the light's does flood a good area with decent light.
Always use support stand when you were working under your car. DO-NOT entrust your life to the jack. >_<
Half an hours with proper tools and my trusty Ryobi power wrench. Job all done~
The culprit behind the E-brake failure, The stock brake line just ain design to handle that much psi's~

Cleaning up me axle~ and paint it.
McGuyver had cleaned up mango's axle to be painted before putting everything back together. For this i had choose the color "admiral grey for all my under carriage parts, with lacquer added for easy cleaning in the future.
I'm still waiting for my crucial parts to be arrive from australia via my cousin's hand. Looks like mango will had to stay off the ground for a bit longer......

{For Sale} Tein HA/HR locking ring
Recently I got a few customer coming in TEIN HA/HR with broken locking rings. Seems like the material was at it's end-of-life. So i had to source replacement for them. And after some ordeal. It seems that it's becoming common that old TEIN coming in from Japan would have a broken locking rings.
So i had to ask my neighbor who fortunately had CNC to make me some new one. And since the boss said it wouldn't be cost effective to make just 2~4 pieces. (in which it would cost more than 200 for just a pair) So i had to settle with making 50 sets - one big ring and one small ring X 50 as minimal order.
In which after taking out some of the pre-order unit and some I would keep for my future customer. I still have 15 extra sets to let go. The specification is 57.5mm inner hole with 3mm thread. It will fit any TEIN, coil over with the corresponding thread size.
The price is MYR100 for one set consist of one big ring and one small ring. Excluding mailing/shipping charges. Anyone who were interested can contact me via my company TKA Motorsport.

Why I had been missing all this while~
Firstly, mango is going through another heart transplant. This time was because the old SVT block had some cracks (or what we think it was) on cylinder 1,4. And Mcguyver thought that the original BT con-rods wasn't up to the jobs for our 9K rpm plan for the engine. So we were still waiting for my H-beam conrods from US to arrive.
And mean while. I'm working on the following projects. One of it was the thing that just came in from workshop. Guess what's it's for.
(pss. whose who had come to my shop and saw it please keep silence and let those who haven saw it give their wild guess ;) ~
peace-out~

Engine Taken out (again) ~
Finally manage to secure a place where i can leave mango on tripod for at least a month's time for me to slowly do all the tweaking and overhaul his heart. As I had a sure feeling that one or more of it's cylinder is loosing compression.
As expected from our McGuyver, my 4age-20v is taken out from mango within 1 hour and taken apart in 2~ XD~ buggy fast he work.
And to our~ (mcguyver said it's his first time saw this kind of condition after so many 20v he had taken apart) HORROR~! cylinder one and four have this 'crack' kinda mark on it's cylinder and both piston ring were about 0.2mm smaller. Not sure it's a lot but it definitely effected mango's hours power.
So with the twist of event.... an engine block change is in evadable~ Good thing i had two more black-top block in spares~

Oops~ I did it again (>_<)~~
I was @ Ah Jian's place last week. To trade in McGuver's P1 Racing which i couldn't use due in adequate Offset. And I SAW those lying on the shelf! Watanabe F8 RIMS~! though it's only the 6.5jj version but they were extremely rare. The market is flooded with imitations and some other manufacturers same (almost) design rims. I told myself i had to have them (>_<)... *not again.
And a few minutes and a very very empty wallet later. They were behind the ford ranger and headed back home.
Which later i felt that i wasn't like the two with black color so i went to paint shop and look around for special paints for rims. And i fall in love with the Volk Racing color which they recently added to the list. And while i'm doing my paint shopping, my bro was preparing the rim for painting. He cleanse the rims with solvent and taped the surrounding area which we decided to leave it as it was, aluminum color.
And a few layers of the premier, a few layers of the Volk color and a coating of hard coating later~ walla~ it's shinning like (not exactly) new.
Hohoho~ i'm a happy dude. I'll be putting on my old AD07 on them later to prepare for the coming autocross training which after mango's major surgery after CNY.

Bored-om Bomb~! Try guessing what have we done~
Work were a bit slow lately due to my ex-worker all open up a 'stall' behind their house and start drilling shock absorbers and start changing absorber oil.
So i have plenty of time thinking up odd mods to the suspension settings XD~ this is one of them~

Product testing - Brisk Premium Silver sparks plug from CZ republic.
Last month, i was introduced a sales person from Brisk by a friend. He had show me some of their products and i'm deeply interested in one of it. The Brisk Racing Premium Silver Plug which they work out the design with Lamborghini. So I ask the sales person to give me a discounted sample set to try out on my Bro's Toyota SE Blacktop 4AGE-20V.
It arrive shortly and we had installed the spark plug and let it run for a few weeks and it's almost a month now. Which we had felt a slight increase of torque at lower to mid RPM range. But not much increase in higher RPM range.
Yet, this is not the main point which i had ordered the sparks plug. 4AGE-20V was an old engine engineered about 20 years ago. And it's primitive ignition system with the 12.0+- compression makes it unsuitable to run on any gas lower than Ron 97. Which is bloody expensive by now.
As the Silver sparks plug had a lower internal resistance and a higher heat dissipation characteristic. We were able to run the engine @ a lower ignition timing and significantly reduces the knocking conditions when we run on Ron95 fuel.
So far so good, and bro was happy with the fact that he now running on ~ 19cent/km compare to 28/km one months ago.

My Oni is back~! And rolling again~
After spending 7 weeks in the hand of an Old uncle somewhere in BM, who were said the only man can fix my rims @ it's conditions without heating it up too much until the metal lose it's strength. From this -
to this~ And now all i need is to wait for McGuyver to overhaul mango's engine so it can perform @ it's normal power band. And also fix the sluggish 4th gear which love to disengage itself during decceration. KGC december i'm coming~ ^_^~

Resting and looking back~
I have been resting for almost 12 weeks now~ with my wife doing most of the driving. I really miss sitting in mango's Sparco deng lot~!
And i was so grounded, i start looking back some of mango's old videos and can't notice how much mango had grown over the years.
this was shoot not long after i got mango and broke it's 4K engine. And with freshly installed silver top and KM36 welded axle. It's hard to keep the compounding of mango's understeering all over the place. And initiating a sideway movement also not easy. Even with only 13" wheels installed.
And this is with mango running's stock SVT on Mines ECU with AE86 TRD zenki 2 way 80% lock LSD. It easily initiated drift with minimal effort and the front is holding it's traction even on dry pavement and 15" wheel at the back with fresh rubbers.
Man i miss flooring mango's throttler and i know he sure miss it as much as i am~ (T_T) ~ i still had another 12 weeks of recovering period a head.
But i think mango will be happy in a few months time for he's going to get his engine rebuild for it's piston ring had give way during my last SIC (Sepang International Circuit) open track day.
For now, sleep well mango~

As i'm still recovering from my back injuries. How would i miss out my friend's garage grand opening?. Good thing i had my own co-driver~ My wife who had follow-ed me around in my Ford ranger tail-gating mango. So i had she drive us to Threshold Garage in Falim, for their grand opening ceremony.
And right away i was shown with what you can do if you own a garage~ XD

Justin first run in TG's mean A31 monster~
It's actually a quite good locations to set up a garage, lot's of space, parking and it has a great view as well.

Lying on my back (>_<)......
Sorry for the blanks this few weeks. I had been lying on my bed most of the times for a back injury which i got it from work 2 weeks back. I'm now on medication and frustratingly there's no efficient cure yet for slip disc. (>_<) i had to restrain from doing heavy work (which i did for a living day to day~ Ar~!!!!!!!!) for the next 2 months.
But i will try to updates on my R&D which only need my brain and my pen to do the job.
And i'll be working on twin caliper bracket next week.
(^.^) ~ ~ stay tuned.
