Why I had been missing all this while~

Firstly, mango is going through another heart transplant. This time was because the old SVT block had some cracks (or what we think it was) on cylinder 1,4. And Mcguyver thought that the original BT con-rods wasn't up to the jobs for our 9K rpm plan for the engine. So we were still waiting for my H-beam conrods from US to arrive.
And mean while. I'm working on the following projects. One of it was the thing that just came in from workshop. Guess what's it's for.
(pss. whose who had come to my shop and saw it please keep silence and let those who haven saw it give their wild guess ;) ~

peace-out~

Resting and looking back~

I have been resting for almost 12 weeks now~ with my wife doing most of the driving. I really miss sitting in mango's Sparco deng lot~!

And i was so grounded, i start looking back some of mango's old videos and can't notice how much mango had grown over the years.

this was shoot not long after i got mango and broke it's 4K engine. And with freshly installed silver top and KM36 welded axle. It's hard to keep the compounding of mango's understeering all over the place. And initiating a sideway movement also not easy. Even with only 13" wheels installed.

And this is with mango running's stock SVT on Mines ECU with AE86 TRD zenki 2 way 80% lock LSD. It easily initiated drift with minimal effort and the front is holding it's traction even on dry pavement and 15" wheel at the back with fresh rubbers.

Man i miss flooring mango's throttler and i know he sure miss it as much as i am~ (T_T) ~ i still had another 12 weeks of recovering period a head.

But i think mango will be happy in a few months time for he's going to get his engine rebuild for it's piston ring had give way during my last SIC (Sepang International Circuit) open track day.

For now, sleep well mango~

Summer Cleaning~

After driving with the current settings for a year and so~ i start to feel that mango wasn't responding to the throttler as he used to be before the body restoration..... perhaps i had to get some 'upgrades' for mango had putting on quite some weight ^^ (now fully carpeted and an extra 60kg of steels from the body strengthening + rusted panel replacement)

So as usual, i send mango to McGuyver's hand to get it clean up and do some minor adjustment~(it was actually a week before lol~) and he just send me the pic yesterday~

We removed the original SVT head and take a look at the piston~
And to what we had been guessing...... thick layer of carbons had build up on it~
and another look at the head as well, it looks ok as my oil change was very frequent~ around every 3000~3500KM on semi 10W40 oil~
So the cleaning started, start by brushing off the carbon from the piston~
Then comes the minor 'upgrades'~ BT head with polished port~ and CLEAN up nicely with alkaline base cleaning fluid~
My HKS plug also received a nice bath~ hohoho~
And after all was cleaned~ in the new gasket, which is not that expensive for something that would last this much pressure and it's ORIGINAL from toyota~ ^^
And the clean and polish-ed BT head~ It did give me a bit more torque @ lower rpm, 2.5k~ 5k with better respond @ 4-5 gear range~

And the best part is~ It save on fuel compare to before the cleaning~ (^.^)~ yeah~!!!!!! more $$$ to pay for other parts~ lol~
